Adv. Amir Fuchs is a Researcher conducting research as part of IDI's Constitutional Principles project. His areas of expertise include Criminal Law, Terror and Democracy, Privacy, Constitutional Law, and Corruption.
Amir Fuchs is a Ph.D. candidate in the Faculty of Law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, under the supervision of Prof. Mordechai Kremnitzer. After earning his LL.B at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Summa Cum Laude), he interned at the criminal department of the State Attorney of Israel (2004) and passed the Israeli bar exam in 2005.
Amir has been a teaching assistant in Criminal Law at the Hebrew University since 2010. In addition, he served as a member of the Israeli commission that was appointed by the Minister of Justice for amending the Israeli Homicide Law from 2005 to 2011.
In 2010-2011, Amir authored over ten op-eds that were published in the Israeli press, both in print and online. These articles, most of which were written with Prof. Mordechai Kremnitzer, dealt with proposed bills that infringe upon human rights, mainly of Israel's Arab minority.
