Shiri Krebs

Adv. Shiri Krebs is a Research Assistant at the Israeli Democracy Institute, working both on IDI's Constitutional Principles project and its Terrorism and Democracy project. Her research concentrates on humanitarian law enforcement mechanisms and their influence on conflict resolution. Ms. Krebs is currently writing her JSM dissertation at the Stanford University Law School, where she received the Fischman scholarship for doctoral studies.

In 2001, Ms. Krebs earned her LL.B. in Law and her B.A. in International Relations from the Interdisciplinary Honors Program at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. During her studies, she  worked as a research and teaching assistant in public international law and presented weekly lectures to undergraduate students in international law. After completing her B.A. and LL.B., Ms. Krebs continued her graduate studies at the Hebrew University, and was awarded an M.A. in International Law with honors in 2007.

From 2005 to 2010, Shiri Krebs served as a legal advisor on International Law to Justice Dorit Beinisch, the President of the Israeli Supreme Court. Throughout this period, she taught at the Hebrew University, and received the Dean's award for excellent junior staff members at the Hebrew University Law Faculty in 2008.
