Ms. Dafna Gruber directs the Israel Democracy Institute's Educational Program. Prior to her work at IDI, Ms. Gruber served as supervisor at the junior-high and high-school division of the Ministry of Education and at SHEFI, Israel's psychological counseling service. She has held positions as senior counselor and supervisor in Herzliya, a member of the management team in the Ayala Project, conducted by Bar Ilan University in the instruction of holistic involvement, and as an educational consultant, counseling coordinator, and member of board at Kiryat Hinuch High, (Hayovel) in Herzliya.
Dafna Gruber has spanned the gamut of educational responsibilities. She has lead educational networks, developed guidance groups, and has instructed and guided students, teachers, counselors, and principals on a variety of topics.
She received her B.A. in theater and in geography from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she returned for a B.A. in education only after finishing her Teaching Certificate, Group Instruction Certificate, and Educational Consultancy Certificate (with honors) at the Beit Berel Academic College. Mrs. Gruber then went on to receive her M.A. in Educational Consultancy at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and completed her Post Graduate Diploma with honors in organizational consultancy at the Management College in Tel Aviv with honors.
