Video Interview: Democracy Building in the Middle East – Lessons from the Israeli Experience

During this period of rapid-change in the political structure of countries in the Middle East, IDI Vice President of Research Prof. Mordechai Kremnitzer reflects on a number of lessons that aspiring democratic regimes can learn from the Israeli democratic experience. Among the lessons that he points to in this video interview are the need for an optimistic spirit, the need for an efficient system of rule with an independent judiciary, and the need to establish a constitution.
