The past few years have seen a growing rift between the Israeli public and Israel's major democratic institutions, including the government, the Supreme Court, the police, and the military, and many citizens feel that the State no longer fulfills their needs. The Israel Democracy Institute (IDI) recognizes the significance of public opinion and anti-political sentiments, and quantifies various social phenomena using polls and surveys. IDI's research teams analyze and study social trends, and strive to prepare and present their conclusions and recommendations to the political echelon, as well as to the public in a form that is both comprehensible and accessible.
