IDI Mourns Passing of Prof. Asher Arian

The Israel Democracy Institute mourns the loss of Prof. Asher Arian, a dear friend and colleague who has been a distinguished member of the Institute for fifteen years. As a Senior Fellow at IDI, Asher stood at the helm of the Institute's flagship political reform program and spearheaded the inclusion of The Guttman Center in IDI's activities. Recipient of the 2005 Distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award of the Israel Political Science Association, Prof. Arian was a leading figure in political science and applied social research in Israel, as well as a Distinguished Professor of Political Science at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Our thoughts are with his wife, Dr. Carol Gordon, and his three children: Lior, Aviv and Shelly.

The Berman Jewish Policy Archive honors the memory of Prof. Asher Arian
