IDI president, Dr. Arye Carmon, delivered a lecture at Duke University on Monday night, January 26th. Dr. Carmon was invited to present his perspective on the state of Israeli democracy in a lecture entitled "A Struggling Democracy Confronts Political and Governmental Ethics: The Case of Israel." Dr. Carmon explored the difficulties facing Israel’s democratic regime in the context of the upcoming general elections to the Knesset. His remarks included proposals for structural reforms based upon research conducted at IDI.
