The Annual Economic Conference, the Caesarea Conference, 2005

The conference opened with a session dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Economic Stabilization Program and concluded with a special panel and an address by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. Several developers of the stabilization plan spoke at the opening session including Deputy Prime Minister Shimon Peres, Governor of the Bank of Israel, Professor Stanley Fischer and others.
 
Various executive heads of different economic sectors were present and Minister of Finance Mr. Binyamin Netanyahu headed the entire conference. Four teams were established, comprised of leading figures in the public and academic sectors, each of which presented their findings at separate panels. The conference's Academic Director, Mr. David Brodet, oversaw these research activities.
