Shlomo Dovrat has been a leading business figure in the Israeli hi-tech industry for over 20 years. After serving in an elite technology unit in the Israeli Defense Forces, Shlomo began his career as a hi-tech entrepreneur, eventually becoming CEO and Chairman of several leading hi-tech companies.
In 1982, Shlomo co-founded Oshap as CEO and President. In 1985, at the age of 26, Shlomo led Oshap to its IPO on NASDAQ. In the 1990s, Shlomo transformed Oshap into an active software investment company and served as Chairman of MINT and Decalog N.V., two very successful financial software companies. In July 1999, SunGard acquired Decalog and MINT for $85 million and $150 million, respectively. Shlomo founded Tecnomatix and served as its CEO and President from its inception in 1983 until 1995. In 1993, Shlomo led Tecnomatix’s IPO on NASDAQ. He served as Chairman of Tecnomatix until December 2001 and as Director until the company was sold to UGS in 2005.
In the year 2000, Shlomo co-founded Carmel Ventures together with Avi Zeevi.
Shlomo has served as Chairman of ECI Telecom (NASDAQ: ECIL) from 2002 until the sale of the company to a group of private equity investors in September 2007 for $1.25 billion. Shlomo is the Chairman of Unipier and serves on the Board of Directors of Axerra, CopperGate, cVidya, eXelate, Metis & Amadesa.
