גלעד בארי הוא ראש התוכנית "רפורמות בכלכלה" במכון הישראלי לדמוקרטיה. בעל ניסיון של מעל 10 שנים בתפקידי מחקר בממשלה ובמכוני מחקר, בתפר שבין מחקר לבין מדיניות ומתוך "תרגום" ביניהם. בתפקידו האחרון שימש מנהל תחום מחקר באגף אסטרטגיה ותכנון מדיניות במשרד הכלכלה והתעשייה. בוגר תוכנית פכ"מ (פילוסופיה, כלכלה ומדע המדינה), מוסמך בית הספר למדיניות ציבורית ולומד לתואר דוקטור בבית הספר – כולם באוניברסיטה העברית בירושלים.

Gilad Be'ery is the Head of the Economic Reforms Program at the Israel Democracy Institute.

He has over a decade of experience in research roles in government and policy institutes, working at the intersection of research and policymaking, with a focus on translating insights between the two spheres.

In his most recent role, he served as Head of Research in the Strategy and Policy Planning Division at the Ministry of Economy and Industry.

Be'ery holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy, Economics, and Political Science (PEP), a Master's degree from the School of Public Policy, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the same school — all from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
